General Info

This lure is the deeper diving version of our CK 50 03 in our PREMIUM HARDBAIT range. Diving to around 9 foot, this ‘bulbous tear-drop’ shaped lure is successful in both fresh and salt water on a variety of species. It’s a great back-up to the other CK lures when you need to get the lure down that little bit deeper.
Designed for tough conditions, the CK 50 02 is built with only the best components and its ‘external finish’ is to the highest quality seen only on top Japanese lures.
Species like cod, perch, bass, trout, barra and most of species that swim in the fresh water rivers and streams or impoundments in countries such as Australia will willingly take a well presented CK 50. In the saltwater this lure has caught all manner of species from the hard fighting mangrove jack to just about any species that live in river systems, shallow bays or reefed flats. This lure is a real fish catcher and a must have lure for the serious soprts fisherman!
Being a ‘floater-diver’ lure, it enables the angler to cover many different types of structure that presents itself on any given day of fishing. From the fresh to the salt this lure will cover the depth range that most ‘active fish’ feed in.

Target Fish

Saltwater – Excluding pelagic fish, this lure will catch almost anything that swims and feeds in the top 10 foot of the water collum. Fish like – barramundi, mangrove jacks, tarpon, threadfin, cod species, flathead, bream, tailor, salmon and many more.
Freshwater – This lure has been designed for the cast and retrieve anglers, but doubles as a very effective trolling lure. Species like bass, perch, redfin, trout, cod, tarpon, saratogas and just about any species that inhabit freshwater will readily line-up to engulf the CK 50 02.

Target Area

This lure is very versatile being a ‘floater-diver’. It works as a very successful trolling lure and casts very well which allows the angler to utilise this lure in lots of different situations.

Swimming Action
Slow sideways wobble with a unique body roll.
Retrieve Technique
1. Retrieve Technique for Surface

A highly effective technique is slowly twitching the lure across the surface with a slow deliberate downward rod action, continually allowing the lure to float back towards the surface. This technique works across flats in both fresh and salt water.

2. Retrieve Technique for Flats

This lure works across flats especially when deeper sections of the flats or drop-offs are holding the fish. Cast the lure across the flats, working it back in a slow constant retrieve until the edge of drop-off when an increased retrieval and rapid downward movement of the rod will see this lure dive rapidly towards the bottom and past the feeding fish.

3. Retrieve Technique for Trolling

This lure is great for trolling around contours of the bank or trolling through thermals where fish are holding. Try different colours from the ‘mat’ finishes to the more natural lure colours for continual success.

4. Retrieve Technique for Freshwater Impoundments/ Dams

Great for fishing around weeded or lily padded edges. Look for gaps in the weed / lilies working the lure as close as possible to the structure as possible without snagging.
