General Info

The CK 50 03 is a must have lure for anglers fishing the ‘shallows’ in virtually any condition that presents itself. This lure has been designed for surface feeding fish in both fresh and salt water. Reefs, flats, rivers, creeks and impoundments are all good areas to target fish on the CK 50 03.
The CK 50 03 dives to 1 foot and being a compact ‘bulbous tear-drop’ shaped lure, its an excellent caster even in the windiest conditions. This lure has an unusually tight body roll with the traditional sideways movement that a tear-drop shape lure creates. This lure due to its unique action and casting ability makes it a must have lure in your tackle box.
This lure is compact and built very strong using only the very best components for all tough conditions. This lure is very snag resistant due to the hook placement and it only dives to 1foot.

Target Fish

This lure is a real fish catcher – anything that feeds towards the surface eats the CK 50 03.
Salt Water – Bream, flathead, travelly, saratogas, tarpon, barra, mangrove jack, estuary cod, and most reef species like corral trout, snapper, sweetlips etc.
Fresh Water – bass, golden perch, trout, cod, redfin, silver perch, barra, mangrove jack, tarpon, and most species that live in the shallows.

Target Area

This lure works particularly well across shallow water no deeper than 2 feet, for fish holding on structure like snags or lilies, or for swimming through fish feeding on bait schooled near the surface.

Swimming Action
Tight body roll with the traditional sideways movement that a tear-drop shape lure creates.
Retrieve Technique
1. Retrieve Technique for Reef Areas

This lure is great for fishing around the shallows, amongst the coral and cross deeper sections where fish congregate. The CK 50 03 is a great lure to ‘wade’ reefed areas with due to its snag resistant qualities.

2. Retrieve Technique for Skinny Water

This lure is great for working shallow creek and rivers anywhere in the world. Depending on the speed of the retrieve, this lure can be worked to about 6 foot or can be used to work across the surface or just under to entice a surface bite.

3. Retrieve Technique for Snags/ Structure

Cast the lure as close as possible to the structure as possible and retrieve the lure with a slow constant winding motion allowing the action of the lure attract the fish. Constant winding with the occasional pause allowing the lure float back to the surface is the best action. If casting close to structure is spooking fish – try casting past or up current of the structure allowing the tidal flow to bring the lure into the strike zone before the retrieve commences.

3. Retrieve Technique for Surface Feeding Fish

Cast the lure into or past the school and retrieve with a constant wind for great results on a variety of species.

3. Retrieve Technique for Freshwater Impoundments/ Dams

Great for fishing around weeded or lily padded edges. Look for gaps in the weed / lilies working the lure as close as possible to the structure as possible without snagging.
