General Info

The VT range of vibration baits are another fantastic lure in the ECOGEAR premium hard bait range. This lure comes in two sizes and has been designed around fresh-water impoundments with tough fighting bass in mind. Due to the quality of the components and action of this lure, many other species including snapper, travelly and triple-tail have been regularly taken in the salty stuff.

Target Fish

Most fish that live in the fresh and salt water eat vibration baits.
In freshwater cod, bass, perch, golden-perch, spangled-perch, silver-perch and trout. In saltwater common captures include – snapper, cod, flathead, bream, tailor, travelly and nearly every species that you can get the bait in-front of.

Swimming Action

Sinking-tight wobble-vibrating lure

Retrieve Technique
1. Constant Retrieve

Cast the VT and ‘count it down’ to the required depth and retrieve at a constant wind, keeping the lure parallel to the surface. This technique also works well in a vertical retrieve.

2. Hopping

This technique requires constant lifting and pausing of the rod tip to allow the lure to rise and fall like a wounded bait fish. This technique can achieved excellent results by fishing along the bottom or by fishing contours of the bottom. For suspended fish, try a hopping action with the above constant retrieve to turn lip-tight fish active.

3. Dredging

This technique works in both salt and fresh water. Cast the VT and free-spool it to the bottom, slowly wind it through the structure on the bottom with the occasional hop or pause to entice a bite (weed, sand, snags or reef).
